Community Service Project
Join Troop 128 for a meaningful Juneteenth service project at McLean’s Historic Pleasant Grove Church (historicpleasantgrove.org). We invite you to sign up for one or more two-hour shifts between 9 AM and 5 PM on Saturday, 6/15 and Sunday, 6/16 to help make vital repairs to this historic landmark. Your involvement will not only help preserve our history, but also symbolize our commitment to unity, equality, and the values of Scouting. Let's stand together for this impactful day of service and remembrance. Sign up for as many slots as you’d like and make it a family service outing.
Grand Anniversary Campout & Reunion
Calling all former Scouts, parents, and leaders of Troop 128! Join us for a grand anniversary campout as we celebrate 100 years of adventure, camaraderie, and Scouting excellence. This special weekend, which will include both day and overnight options, is designed to bring together individuals from all generations, creating an unforgettable experience for Scouts of all ages. Special Centennial Court of Honor
Save the date for a Special Centennial Court of Honor, a celebration to recognize our troop’s Scout advancement and to pay tribute to the remarkable leaders who have shaped the lives of countless Scouts over the years. We also invite you to nominate individuals who you believe deserve recognition for their outstanding service to our troop. Your nominations will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the true heroes of Troop 128 receive acknowledgment for their dedication, mentorship, and commitment to Scouting over the last century.
Alumni Spaghetti Dinner
Alumni of Troop 128 are invited to a relaxed and nostalgic evening as we kickoff our centennial events exactly 100 years from the date our troop was chartered (2/24/1924). While you indulge in a delicious meal lovingly served by current Scouts, reminisce about the good ol' Scouting days with our youth. Our Scouts are excited to interview you and collect your stories for a special video to be shared at our reunion weekend in October. While space is limited, this event sets the stage for what promises to be a memorable year. Tickets are now on sale! Don’t miss out on this historic celebration.
